The team at Scully RSV are committed to keeping our customers and staff safe during the worldwide COVID-19 emergency. We are continuing our business operations at both our Brisbane and Sydney locations with the addition of extensive hygiene practices to ensure our people are protected.
Hygiene
The health and safety of our customers and employees is our priority and we are following all of the necessary recommendations of health authorities.
We are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our customers. All of our refrigerated trucks, including those available for hire or second-hand purchase, are sterilised and detail-cleaned after use to ensure they are safe to hire again. All high touch surfaces including door handles are subject to frequent and effective cleaning.
Our staff have been training in personal protective hygiene including frequent hand washing and effective cough and sneeze etiquette. Any employees who are showing signs of illness have been advised to not attend work. We are also encouraging strong social distancing measures between all face-to-face contact.
Support Options
It’s critical that we do everything possible to maintain a fully functional supply chain in Australia during this time. We have plenty of options available for businesses that need extra support to deal with unexpected challenges or changes in their delivery schedule. We have refrigerated trucks of all sizes available on-site that are ready to hire and drive away or we are able to deliver them to you via our partner Truck Moves if needed. We also offer 24 hour assistance to all of our customers including after hours pick up and drop off.
Government Stimulus Package
The Government has announced a stimulus package to help deal with the COVID-19 crisis, which includes an increase to the instant asset-write off threshold from $30,000 to $150,000.
The Backing Business Investment Incentive allows businesses with less than a $500 million turnover to deduct 50% of a new asset cost.
The government’s instant asset write off incentive combined with Scully RSV’s refrigerated transport solutions allow retail supermarkets, produce growers, foodservice distributors as well as manufacturers the opportunity to invest in refrigerated transport and strengthen the Australian food supply chain.
