Scully RSV has officially announced a strategic expansion of its national fleet, a huge step beyond our traditional focus on temperature-controlled transport and into introducing a brand new, premium range of ambient and general freight solutions.

For over 30 years, we’ve built a strong reputation providing specialised refrigerated transport to food and pharmaceutical manufacturers and logistics companies nationwide. However, after noticing a clear gap in the market for unified fleet management, we’ve decided to leverage our national footprint across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Townsville, and Tasmania to power our next phase of growth.

A fleet expansion driven by our customers

This move into ambient logistics came in direct response to demand from our customers. As our  National Sales and Business Development Manager Glenn Smith noted, transport operators were looking to consolidate their diverse fleet needs under a single, reliable service model instead of juggling multiple partnerships.

Our newly bolstered ambient portfolio includes a growing range of custom new builds and long-term hire configurations, such as dry freight vans, flatbed trucks, curtainsider trailers, and rigid trucks.

Built with the same high-quality manufacturing standards as our renowned refrigerated line, these new general freight vehicles prioritise locally sourced products and components wherever possible.

Financial flexibility and smart fleet management

Beyond just the expansion of our physical inventory, Scully RSV is also focusing on helping businesses optimise their balance sheets. Since the introduction of the AASB 16 leasing standards in 2019, which require most long-term leases to be recognised as liabilities on balance sheets, companies have increasingly sought flexible alternatives.

Scully RSV’s short- and long-term rental options provide an operationally simple way for businesses to scale their fleets up or down as market demands shift, without taking on rigid, long-term financial commitments.

Additionally, customers utilising the new general freight fleet will have access to the award-winning Scully Live platform. This innovative digital ecosystem serves as a centralised, one-stop shop for tracking, managing, and maintaining all your fleet assets in collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and maintenance partners.

With its refrigerated fleet already exceeding 1,000 assets, the rollout of ambient rigid truck bodies and general freight configurations marks a major milestone that will fuel Scully RSV’s continued national expansion.
